Junior Health Heros-Nursing
About This Camp
The Nursing Summer Camp is an engaging, hands-on experience designed for students entering grades 7 through 9 who are curious about healthcare and helping others. Camp participants will explore what it’s like to be a nurse through interactive activities such as practicing vital signs, learning proper hand hygiene, listening to heart and lung sounds, and participating in age-appropriate simulation scenarios. Students will work in small groups to solve health challenges, practice basic first aid skills, and respond to mock emergencies in a fun and supportive environment. Throughout the camp, students will meet nursing professionals from a variety of specialties, learn about different healthcare careers, and discover the educational pathways that lead to nursing. Creative projects, team-based games, and wellness activities focused on nutrition, stress management, and healthy habits are woven throughout the program to keep learning exciting and accessible.
