TR Rope Rescue Operations - Hosted by Waxhaw Fire - Union

This 60-hour certification-related course in rope rescue (operations level) will present the Technical Rescuer (TR) with the development of incident action plans, hazard specific PPE, rescue equipment, ropes and knots, principles of rigging, anchors, fall protection and belay operations, patient evacuation, lowering systems, mechanical advantage systems, and working in suspension. This course should be offered consistent with the most current NC Fire and Rescue Commission guidelines. Contact the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) for details.

This course will take place on 8/1/2025 - 8/25/2025 from 8am-12pm AND 1pm-5:00pm on the following dates: 

Thursday 8/1, Tuesday, 8/5, Friday 8/8, Monday 8/11, Wednesday 8/13, Wednesday 8/20, and Friday,

8/22. Monday 8/25 is from 8am-12pm only.

Requirements: 

Must have registered for TR Rope Rescue Awareness at SPCC OR have current version (FRC) Awareness (FRC 1202) on your OSFM Transcript. 

The registrant will certify the requirements have been met when completing the registration.
