Motorcycle Rider Safety
Price: $201.40
Summary
Basic Rider Course is designed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and provides 18 hours of class work and practical riding skills for new riders or for experienced riders who want to improve their riding skills. SPCC provides the motorcycles and excellent instructors. Students should have a driver's license but motorcycle endorsement or permit is not required. Successful graduates of this course will receive a waiver card for the on-bike skills portion (road test) of the NC DMV motorcycle license test. Students bring a pen and dress appropriately for riding, including long pants (no holes), long sleeves, over the ankle footwear, full fingered gloves, protective eyewear (sunglasses are OK), and a helmet.
Requirements
Prior to participating in the in-person riding sessions, participants will need to complete an online module lasting approximately 5 hours long. South Piedmont's Continuing Education Division will forward access details for the online course to registrants 2 weeks prior to their particular class session.
